Job Title: Senior Tax Associate
Job Summary:
As a Senior Tax Associate, you will be responsible for managing tax engagements and providing high-quality tax services to clients. Your role will involve overseeing and reviewing the work of junior staff members, conducting tax research and planning, and serving as a client liaison.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Manage and supervise tax engagements for a variety of clients, including individuals, partnerships, corporations, trusts, and estates
Prepare and review complex tax returns and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations
Research and analyze tax issues and develop tax planning strategies to minimize clients' tax liabilities
Communicate with clients to gather information, provide updates, and respond to inquiries on tax-related matters
Oversee and review the work of junior staff members and provide feedback and guidance as needed
Develop and maintain relationships with clients and other stakeholders
Assist with business development and proposal writing for new clients
Keep up-to-date with changes in tax laws and regulations and share knowledge with team members
Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field
3-5 years of tax experience in a public accounting firm
CPA or Enrolled Agent certification required
Strong technical knowledge of tax laws and regulations
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Office
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Willingness to travel as needed
Working Conditions:
The Senior Tax Associate position is typically a full-time role that may require working extended hours during peak tax season. Work is primarily performed in an office setting, but some travel may be required to meet with clients or attend training sessions.
