Job Title: Tax Admin
Job Summary:
As a Tax Admin, you will be responsible for providing administrative support to tax professionals, preparing and filing tax returns, and assisting with client communications. You will ensure the timely completion and accuracy of tax-related tasks and maintain organized records and files.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Prepare and file federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, partnerships, corporations, trusts, and estates
Provide administrative support to tax professionals, including organizing and maintaining client files, scheduling appointments, and handling correspondence
Respond to client inquiries and provide updates on tax-related matters
Assist with tax research and analysis to identify and resolve tax issues
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of tax-related documents and correspondence
Prepare and process tax payments and assist with tax audits
Keep up-to-date with changes in tax laws and regulations
Perform other administrative duties and responsibilities as assigned
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent required, Associate's or Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field preferred
1-2 years of administrative experience, preferably in a tax or accounting setting
Strong organizational and time management skills
Attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other tax software
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Working Conditions:
The Tax Admin position is typically a full-time role that may require working extended hours during peak tax season. Work is primarily performed in an office setting.
